What the pattern means for preparation
Mathematics is half the Engineering paper. Every chapter you strengthen in Maths is worth twice as much as the same effort spread across Physics or Chemistry.
Speed matters as much as accuracy. At about 68 seconds per question there is no time to get stuck. Practise moving on and returning to hard questions.
Never leave a question blank. With no negative marking, an educated guess can only add marks.
Practise the real pattern
The best way to get used to 160 questions in 3 hours is to sit full papers under the same timer. Every previous year question paper on eapcetpro runs in the exact exam format, and you can check what your score means on the marks vs rank page.
